Jiraporn's solar-dried bananas are a Thai staple: small bananas dried in solar houses until they turn golden, chewy and honey-sweet. The packaging says 100% natural banana, and the taste backs it up — there is nothing added.

Round vs flat

• Round shape — the whole banana, dried as is. Chewier, with a soft centre. The traditional form.
• Flat shape — pressed before drying. Slightly firmer and more even, easier to share and to slice over yoghurt or oats.
